Candice Trees was the Sangamon County Circuit Clerk for 6 years. During her term, Candice Trees instigated two technological advances within the Circuit Clerk’s Office. First, she began processing child support on an automated electronic basis; in June of 1988 she was responsible for the installation of a new computer system for the traffic division. Bringing the Clerk’s Office up to speed with modern technology helped improve the efficiency and accessibility of the office. Previous to being Circuit Clerk, Candice Trees served as the City Clerk. She graduated Sangamon State (now currently the University of Illinois at Springfield) in 1981.
